Typically, Xiaomi embarks on global product launches once it has released them its home market, China. The Redmi Note 11 series is the most recent example of this, but it should also be true with the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series. However, the opposite is true with the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, which debuted in September.
While the handset has been available since October in multiple markets, it has only just arrived in China. The handset arrives in the country as the Youth Vibrant Edition or the Youth Vitality Edition, depending on how you translate its Chinese name. Incidentally, Xiaomi refers to the device as 'Mi 11 LE 5G NE' in its product page URL.
Accordingly, the Chinese variant contains the same hardware as the global variant. Hence, the device has a Snapdragon 778G SoC, a 6.55-inch display and a 4,250 mAh battery. Theoretically, Xiaomi sells the 11 Lite 5G NE with up to 256 GB of storage, but we cannot see where that is the case. Currently, Xiaomi does not sell any 256 GB variants directly in Germany, India or the UK.
Xiaomi's latest 'Lite' smartphone starts at CNY 1,999 (~US$315) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The company charges CNY 2,299 (~US$362) for the 256 GB edition; both are available with and without chargers.
