Philips continues to bring more monitors to market, having recently presented the Momentum 5000 27M1F5800 and Momentum 5000 27M1F5500P. While those are gaming monitors, Philips has designed the 5000 24E1N5300HE for a home office or remote working. As such, Philips has included speakers and a webcam for video conferencing.
Specifically, the 24E1N5300HE has dual 5 W speakers and a 5 MP sensor that supports Windows Hello. Also, the monitor has a 23.8-inch IPS panel with a W-LED backlight that outputs at 1080p and 75 Hz with a 16:9 aspect ratio. According to Philips, the 24E1N5300HE offers 300 nits of peak brightness, with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 1 ms MPRT response times and 120.9% sRGB colour space coverage.
Moreover, the 24E1N5300HE contains DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, plus four USB 3.2 Type-A connections and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. For reference, the monitor's USB Type-C port supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort Alt mode. So far, Philips has confirmed that the 24E1N5300HE will be available later this month for £269, a significantly cheaper option than the Philips 5000 27E1N5600HE that has also launched.
