ViewSonic VX2418C: New gaming monitor presented with 165 Hz refresh rate and 1500R curvature
ViewSonic has unveiled the VX2418C, not to be confused with the VX2418-P-MHD that it announced in March 2021. By design, the pair share a few features though, including a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel native resolution. Also, the VX2418C has a 24-inch VA panel with a 23.6-inch viewable area.
According to ViewSonic's product page, the VX2418C delivers a 3,000:1 contrast ratio with 250 cd/m² of peak brightness and an 8-bit colour space (6-bit+FRC). Incidentally, the monitor has a 1500R curvature, 1 ms response times (MPRT) and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Unsurprisingly, ViewSonic has included FreeSync support to minimise image tearing.
Separately, ViewSonic claims that the VX2418C covers 72% and 102% of the NTSC and sRGB colour spaces, respectively. As the images below show, the VX2418C contains two HDMI (1.4) ports, a DisplayPort connection, and a 3.5 mm audio-out jack. Furthermore, the VX2418C has dual 2 W speakers, a Kensington lock slot and a stand that can tilt -5/20 degrees. ViewSonic offers the VX2418C in multiple markets, including Europe for €219. Unfortunately, ViewSonic has not confirmed pricing or availability in other markets yet.
