Philips 34E1C5600HE: Curved WFH monitor announced with a 1440p resolution and a 100 Hz refresh rate
Philips has announced the 34E1C5600HE as it continues to expand its extensive monitor portfolio. In a press release, Philips describes the 34E1C5600HE as 'a one-stop shop for remote work productivity', on which a Senior Product Manager at the company expanded:
The Philips 34E1C5600HE monitor is the ideal 'work from home' solution. It contains everything today's employees need to get the most out of this new working reality, whether in terms of image quality, collaboration, security, connectivity, or comfort.
As its name suggests, the Philips 34E1C5600HE has a 34-inch panel. According to Philips, the large display has a 1500R curvature with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 3,400 x 1,400 native resolution. Additionally, the monitor has a 100 Hz refresh rate, 4 ms response times (GtG) and a 3,000:1 native contrast ratio. Incidentally, the Philips 34E1C5600HE offers 300 cd/m² of peak brightness, meaning that it cannot master HDR content.
Moreover, Philips claims that the 34E1C5600HE covers 99.25% and 123.24% of the NTSC and sRGB colour spaces, respectively. Separately, the company has equipped the 34E1C5600HE with single DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 ports, plus a USB Type-C connection that supports DisplayPort Alt mode and Power Delivery. Furthermore, the monitor comes with four USB Type-A ports, a 5 MP Windows Hello-compatible webcam, twin 5 W speakers and an adjustable stand. The Philips 34E1C5600HE will be orderable from next month in the UK for £479.99 and €619 in the Eurozone.
