Tecno Pova 3 is now officially India's first 7,000mAh/33W Android smartphone
Tecno has finally reached the final stage of its Pova 3 launch campaign on Amazon.in with new product pages for the new smartphone. They finally reveal that it is available in Tech Silver, Electric Blue or Eco Black colorways. It has been made available in 4 or 6GB RAM SKUs, which can technically upgrade to 7 or 11GB respectively thanks to the OEM's Memory Boost setting.
It is found within the Pova 3's build of HiOS 8.6, based on Android 12. It runs on the Helio G88 processor, which Tecno backs as powerful enough for hours of gaming on the Pova 3. On that note, the user can indeed hold lengthy sessions thanks to its 7,000mAh battery.
It may not be the first one of such a capacity ever seen in India; however, Tecno now asserts it is the first one capable of charging at 33W with its first-party, in-box Flash Charger. The Pova 3 also supports reverse wired charging, albeit at just 10W.
The Pova 3 starts at INR 14,499 (~US$184) for a 4GB/64GB base model, or 14,999 (~$190) for a 6GB/128GB top-end SKU (in Tech Silver only; the other 2 are 500 (~$6) more in both cases for some reason). However, they both have introductory discounts that bring them down to 11,499 (~$146) and 12,999 (~$165) respectively at present.
It should be noted that there is, unfortunately, no point in thinking of importing one from this site, as they are listed as compatible with Indian bands only (to go with their new Made in India badge). Otherwise, they may prove a great deal for users who prioritize battery life over other features such as 5G.
