The Cubot Pocket debuted last month, but it has taken until now for the company to start selling the handset. Available across multiple markets, the Cubot Pocket measures 119 x 58 x 12.5 mm and weighs 128 g. For context, these dimensions make the Cubot Pocket slightly shorter and thicker than the iPhone 5 but 4 mm taller than the iPhone 3GS.
Incidentally, the Cubot Pocket also has a 4-inch display, matching the iPhone 5. According to Cubot, the smartphone's display outputs at 1,080 x 540 pixels, a particularly low-resolution panel for a smartphone released in 2022. In fact, the Cubot Pocket has a lower resolution display than the iPhone 5, which Apple released in 2022. Still, the Cubot Pocket relies on a 3,000 mAh battery, which should provide decent runtimes.
Moreover, Cubot has equipped the Pocket with a Unisoc T310 chipset, plus 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage. Cubot adds that the device runs Android 11 out of the box with 16 MP rear-facing and 5 MP front-facing cameras. Thankfully, Cubot has also included a USB Type-C port, rather than the older micro USB standard. Currently, the Cubot Pocket retails for €169.99 on Amazon Germany and US$119.99 on AliExpress. Both retailers offer the smartphone in three colours, shown in Cubot's marketing images.
