Nothing Phone (1): Leaked European prices confirm higher starting price than the Google Pixel 6a as general availability date surfaces
Earlier this week, we discussed leaked Nothing Phone (1) pricing ahead of the device's July 12 release. While the leak claimed that the Nothing Phone (1) would be available for US$397, Nothing has already confirmed that it has no plans to offer the Phone (1) in the US. Subsequently, Amazon has revealed three Nothing Phone (1) memory configurations, as well as their prices in the Eurozone.
As the screenshot below shows, Amazon briefly listed the Nothing Phone (1) for €469.99 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. Additionally, the listing shows the device in black, a colour that leaked recently. Presumably, Roland Quandt obtained the renders on which we reported from Amazon Germany. Incidentally, the listing suggests that Nothing will maintain its invite-only system until at least October, with Amazon unable to ship Nothing Phone (1) orders until October 26.
Similarly, Amazon Germany listed a 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB SKU for €549.99. Likewise, Amazon France listed all memory configurations, including 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Ultimately, these prices paint the Nothing Phone (1) in a different light to the claim it would launch for US$397. For context, US$397 would have made the Nothing Phone (1) cheaper than the upcoming Pixel 6a. Google has confirmed that the Pixel 6a will retail for €459 in the Eurozone though, €10 cheaper than the Nothing Phone (1).
