Google Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro sales start in 13 countries with a significant Pixel 6a pre-order incentive
Google has opened pre-orders for the Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro, which it introduced in May at Google I/O 2022. For reference, Google only offers the Pixel 6a with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage. Like other Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 6a lacks a microSD card reader. Hence, you cannot physically equip the Pixel 6a with more than 128 GB of storage, unlike the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Currently, Google sells the Pixel 6a in thirteen countries, including India. At launch, the Pixel 6a costs as follows in these markets:
- Australia: AUD$749
- Canada: CAD$599
- France: €459
- Germany: €459
- India: INR 43,999
- Ireland: €459
- Italy: €459
- Japan: JPY 53,900
- Singapore: SGD$749
- Spain: €459
- Taiwan: NTD$13,990
- UK: £399
- US: US$449
As far as we can tell, Google is also offering a complimentary pair of Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds with all pre-orders. Typically, these retail for £99.99, just under half what the Pixel Buds Pro cost. By contrast, Google has elected against running any pre-order bonuses for the Pixel Buds Pro, which ships in Charcoal, Coral, Fog, and Lemongrass colour options.
However, all colour options feature a white charging case, mirroring other Pixel Buds. In comparison, the Pixel 6a is available in Chalk, Charcoal and Sage colour options. It is worth noting that Google does not include a case or a charger in the case, first-party versions of which both retail for £25. Both the Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel 6a will begin shipping on July 28.
