The realme GT Neo 3 is a dream smartphone for Genshin Impact players ↺
The Asian action RPG Genshin Impact continues to enjoy great popularity, so it's hardly surprising that some smartphone manufacturers are now optimizing their smartphones for the game. This is also true of realme's GT Neo 3, which even has its own display chip that is supposed to make the game run even more smoothly.
This works as follows: The chip and an algorithm generate intermediate images so that movements run more smoothly and gamers can ideally react more quickly to enemy movements.
Unfortunately, this function is reserved for certain games and we could not determine any visible and measurable differences in our review, such as in PUBG Mobile. Then again, the manufacturer may expand support in the future.
The realme GT Neo 3 also offers some interesting features outside gaming. For example, the area of the NFC chip, which is used for contactless payment transactions, is supposed to be particularly large. In our review, we observed that it functions well, but the coverage of the chip's activation area is not particularly large.
Then there is also the measurement of the heart rate via the fingerprint sensor, which works well and is a nice gimmick
The sleek racing design is also refreshing for an upper-class smartphone, but realme could have focused a little more on the workmanship, since an audible creaking is noticeable when twisting.
The manufacturer offers an unusual opportunity for saving money: If you opt for lower charging power and can do without some RAM, you pay 100 Euros less. However, this cheaper 80-watt version does not yet appear to be available in most countries, so interested buyers are advised to regularly check Amazon and select retailers.
But is the real-world GT Neo 3 also worthwhile for people who not only want to play Genshin Impact? Find out for yourself in our detailed review with its many benchmarks and results.
