realme GT Neo 3T: Why we find the mid-range smartphone quite bold
"Who dares, wins", as the saying goes, and in this respect, the realme GT Neo 3T may become a real blockbuster. The manufacturer is doing things differently this time in terms of design, using a racing flag design for the back. A bright yellow is also available if desired.
In our review, we even had the eye-catching "Dragon Ball Z" special edition, which stands out with an orange back, blue sides and a specially designed user interface. But don't despair: If you prefer a more discreet design, you can also purchase the phone in plain black, though the matte back looks a bit cheap.
Speaking of cheap: If you don't want the special edition, the smartphone costs between US$ 430—470, depending on the memory configuration. This is a classic mid-range price, for which the realme GT Neo 3T also has a lot to offer.
For example, the OLED screen is very color-accurate under the right settings, which also include a DC dimming mode. Oddly enough, realme hides this useful feature in the developer settings, which you have to activate first.
As for the speakers, realme uses a hybrid solution for the GT Neo 3T, which means the earpiece doubles as a secondary speaker for stereo effects. However, the main speaker is naturally much louder, so the effects are not quite as good for the listener. Overall, we quite like the sound quality of the Hi-Res Audio certified smartphone.
The camera system, which does not offer a hybrid zoom between the wide-angle and main camera and whose images tend to overexpose bright surfaces, is less impressive.
If you are not averse to a smartphone with an eye-catching design and a mid-range price is just right for you, we recommend having a look at our detailed review of the realme GT Neo 3T with its numerous result tables and benchmarks.
