Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition debuts with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Pixelworks X7 graphic chip
At its launch event today in China, Realme debuted a handful of new mobile devices including the new Realme Buds Air 3 Neo, the RealmeBook Air, and most notably, the performance-focused Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition.
The Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition makes its debut as one of the few available Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices on the market after the launches of the Xiaomi 12S and Asus ROG Phone 6 series. The GT2 Master Explorer Edition sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED made by BOE, and is equipped with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This is actually the first Android device to offer LPDDR5X RAM.
Camera-wise, the premium phone features a 50 MP IMX766 with OIS as its main camera, added by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2 MP lens. At the front sits a 16 MP selfie camera. The GT2 Master Explorer Edition incorporates Pixelworks's X7 visual processor as well, for improved gaming performance and display performance. You can read more about the X7 chip here.
Other features of the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition include a 5000 mAh battery, 100 W charging that charges the phone full in 25 minutes, x-axis vibration motor, 195g weight, Android 12, and pressure-sensitive shoulder keys. Three SKUs are available: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB, costing CNY 3499 (US$520), CNY 3799 (US$565), and CNY 3999 (US$595) respectively.
