Although the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 is a mid-range mobile chip with a few highlights such as support for 200 MP cameras, Doogee goes all the way up with the battery of the upcoming V Max. Weighing four times as much as an average smartphone, this rugged handset promises up to 10 days of battery life in regular use thanks to the 22,000 mAh power pack.

Those who thought that 10,000 mAh is a very large smartphone battery should soon re-think it because Chinese OEM Doogee is planning to leave common sense aside and go all the way up to an insane 22,000 mAh. This gargantuan smartphone will launch as Doogee V Max and, if everything goes as planned, it should hit the market next month for a price that has yet to be revealed.

Leaving the aforementioned monster battery aside, the Doogee V Max is going to feature the following specs and features:

  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 1080
  • Memory/Storage: 12 GB RAM; 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, microSD support
  • Display: 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS waterdrop with 120 Hz refresh
  • Cameras: 32 MB front shooter; 108 + 20 + 16 MP main camera (the 20 MP sensor is a night vision one, the Sony IMX350)
  • Connectivity: 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS
  • Ruggedness: IP68 / IP69K / MIL-STD-810H
  • Operating system: Android 12
  • Dimensions: 7.03 X 3.27 X 1.07 inch

Compliant with the Hi-Res Audio standard of the Japan Audio Association and packing a customizable key on its left side similar to those that come on all rugged Doogee phones, the V Max will be available in Moonshine Silver, Sunshine Gold, and Classic Black. The weight figure is not final yet, but it will be probably around 900 grams / 1.98 pounds. There is no information on the launch date and pricing details but everything should be unveiled in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
