Xiaomi continues to tease the Xiaomi 12S series on social media, including the long-awaited successor to the Mi 11 Ultra. However, the company has since confirmed that it has another laptop up its sleeve. As is often the case with Xiaomi's launch events, it will roll the reveal of the Book Pro 2022 into the announcement of the Xiaomi 12S. Hence, the Xiaomi Book Pro 2022 will debut on July 4 at 19:00 CST (11:00 UTC).
As it stands, Xiaomi has shared two Book Pro 2022 teasers on Chinese social media. As the images below show, the Xiaomi Book Pro 2022 will have a large centred trackpad, although seemingly a fair bit smaller than those found in recent MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 models. Unquestionably, Xiaomi has taken several design cues from the outgoing MacBook Air, such as its minimal port selection and wedge-shaped design.
Specifically, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Book Pro 2022 has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on its left-hand side, which sandwich a microphone aperture. While it has not revealed what ports lie on the device's opposite site, it claims that the Book Pro 2022 is just 14.9 mm thick with a CNC chassis. Also, the laptop has a cut-out to help with opening its display and rounded corners. Presumably, Xiaomi will reveal more details about the Book Pro 2022 in the coming days, including on which processor platform it relies.
