Ahead of its official launch tomorrow in China, Xiaomi is now confirming hardware features of the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Most notable is the presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, dual-mode 120 W charging, and solid cameras that should be even better thanks to Leica's contributions.

Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 12S series on July 4. The lineup will include the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and the much-awaited Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The company is now actively teasing the middle child of the series, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, giving fans a solid idea of what to expect at the launch event.

The Xiaomi 12S Pro, like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Xiaomi 12S phones will be the first to feature the premium chipset and the 12S Pro appears to handle it solidly. The company has now shared an image showing the phone's performance on AnTuTu, with the flagship recording a score of 1,113,135. While pre-production AnTuTu numbers are always to be taken with a pinch of salt, that figure exceeds every other Android device on AnTuTu. For some perspective, the Black Shark 5 Pro currently tops AnTuTu's charts with a score of 1,040,111.

In addition to that, Xiaomi has revealed details of the 12S Pro. Camera-wise, the phone will feature the 50 MP IMX707 as its main camera. Aiding that will be a 50 MP 2x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP 115-degree ultra-wide-angle camera. Those are identical to the Xiaomi 12 Pro's cameras, but fans will be hoping that Leica's contribution results in better camera performance.

Similarly, the Xiaomi 12S Pro appears to maintain the display of the Xiaomi 12 Pro with a 6.73-inch QHD+ 120 Hz E5 AMOLED. Peak brightness is listed as 1500 nits. Lastly, the Xiaomi 12S Pro will offer 120 W charging. Supposedly, the phone will allow two charging modes: Fast and Stable. The former charges the phone to 100% in 19 minutes, while the latter takes 25 minutes.
