Xiaomi has introduced the Book Pro 2022, one of many products that it has announced today in China. As the company teased last week, the Xiaomi Book Pro 2022 has a slim design with a few nods to the design language of recent MacBook Pro Air and MacBook Pro 13 machines. While Apple has pivoted to in-house processors with its laptops, Xiaomi equips the Book Pro 14 2022 with the Intel Alder Lake platform.
Specifically, the Book Pro 14 2022 relies on the Core i5-1240P or the Core i7-1260P, both complemented by LPDDR5-5200 RAM and PCIe 4.0 storage. Additionally, the Book Pro 14 2022 comes with optional NVIDIA GeForce MX550 and GeForce RTX 2050 GPUs that have 2 GB and 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, respectively. For reference, all Book Pro 14 2022 configurations ship with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Separately, the Book Pro 14 2022 has a 14-inch OLED display that operates at 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with a 242 PPI. According to Xiaomi, the 16:10 display also has a 90 Hz refresh rate, 600 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, plus TUV Rheinland anti-blue light certification. Incidentally, Xiaomi claims that the display has an 89.54% screen-to-body ratio with 3.6 mm narrow bezels too.
Furthermore, Xiaomi equips the 313.83 x 219.42 x 14.9 mm and 1.5 kg device with a 56 Wh battery that supports 100 W charging. Xiaomi adds that it has included dual 2 W speakers, a fingerprint scanner, a Thunderbolt 4 port and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports that support DisplayPort Alt Mode. At launch, Xiaomi offers the Book Pro 14 2022 in the following configurations; please note that the company has not announced a global launch yet.
