Xiaomi NoteBook Pro 120G: Design and specifications confirmed for upcoming laptop with a 120 Hz and 2.5K display
Last week, we reported that Xiaomi had started teasing the NoteBook Pro 120G, a laptop that we speculated could feature an assortment of enticing hardware. Subsequently, the company has created a NoteBook Pro 120G event website, in which it has confirmed several details about the upcoming laptop. As the image below shows, Xiaomi has decided to reveal a marketing render of the design, outlining its design and port selection.
Specifically, the NoteBook Pro 120G has relatively thick top and bottom display bezels, with the latter sporting Xiaomi's logo. Also, it seems that Xiaomi has used a plastic display bezel rather than a glass one, implying that the laptop does not support touch input. Additionally, it appears that the NoteBook Pro 120G lacks the hardware needed for Windows Hello facial recognition. Still, the display will output at 2.5K, likely 2,560 x 1,600 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and at up to 120 Hz.
Moreover, the NoteBook Pro 120G has a full-sized HDMI port, a 3.5 mm jack, a USB Type-A port and two USB Type-C ports. Seemingly, Xiaomi has included a Thunderbolt 4 port too, powered in part by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 H-series processor. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether this is a 35 W or a 45 W part. Furthermore, the NoteBook Pro 120G will launch with the GeForce MX550, an entry-level graphics card that NVIDIA bases on its TU117 GPU. The NoteBook Pro 120G will arrive on August 30 in India. Xiaomi has not announced availability outside India yet.
