Xiaomi today announced the successor to the Mi Notebook 14 series in India — the Mi Notebook 2021 Series. The Mi Notebook 2021 Series includes the Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra and offer upgrades such as the Intel Tiger Lake-H35 CPUs, TruLfe and TruLife+ displays, and an aluminum unibody construction.
The Mi Notebook Pro (14-inch) and the Mi Notebook Ultra (15.6-inch) feature almost identical specifications with the primary differences being with respect to the screen size, display, key travel distance, and battery capacity.
Both devices offer a choice between the Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H processors with built-in Iris Xe graphics. Users can configure either variant with up to 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. The Mi Notebook 2021 Series features a unibody design made of Series 6 Aluminum cut cut with a CNC machine and anodized to give a Lustrous Grey look.
The Mi Notebook Ultra features a 15.6-inch TrueLife+ 16:10 3.2K (3,200 x 2,000) display with 100% sRGB gamut coverage, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. Xiaomi said that the Mi Notebook Ultra's display is TÜV Rheinland-certified and supports DC Dimming to reduce eye strain. The Mi Notebook Pro, on the other hand, features a 14-inch 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600) 16:10 60 Hz panel with 100% sRGB coverage and DC Dimming.
The other major difference between both the models is battery capacity. While the Mi Notebook Pro offers a 56 Whr cell with a rated 11 hours of battery life and 65 W USB Type-C charging, the Mi Notebook Ultra uses a 70 Whr battery with 12 hours of battery life and 65 W USB Type-C charging.
