ZTE has already released its Axon 40 Ultra flagship Android smartphone - one of very few to have an under-display selfie camera (UDC) instead of a notch or a punch-hole in 2022 - in Europe. Now, the premium full-screen device is available in other regions such as North America. The OEM has announced that it is marking this event with a free gift per purchase for a limited time.

Even in 2022, flagship mobile devices that have moved beyond the punch-hole (or notch) for their front-facing cameras are rare, and most of the newest ones are ultimately from ZTE. This is just as well, as the company is now on its third generation of the UDC panels required. Now, more tech fans can get their hands on it in the form of the Axon 40 Ultra.

ZTE seems to have shown little compunction in going for a 'full-screen Galaxy S22 Ultra' look in its new flagship, and could thus be a harbinger of where premium Android design is going. Besides its cutting-edge, albeit FHD+, display, it rocks the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 8GB of RAM at the least.

On that note, ZTE has finally confirmed that this 40 Ultra base model will cost a prospective owner US$799, or $100 more for its 12/256GB top-end SKU.

In an effort to seal this deal, the OEM is offering a free Bluetooth speaker (not shown on the website, unfortunately) per purchase of either option from today (June 21, 2022) until June 28, an offer open to buyers in all locations served by the ZTE Global webstore, Europe included.
