OnePlus has made the Lite version of the Nord CE 2 official. The Android smartphone has launched with a 120Hz display, although it is LCD rather than AMOLED as in higher-end phones of this brand. Then again, specs such as these knock its price down to well under US$300.

OnePlus has launched the Nord CE 2 Lite alongside the 10R in India. It has arrived with a strangely familiar build, with pinstripe accents running from its triple 64+2+2MP camera hump to the opposite edge of its rear panel, finished in Blue Tide or Dusk Black colorways.

On its other side, one finds an "energy-saving" 6.58-inch FHD+ display, kept on with the generous 5,000mAh battery that is also a feature of the higher-end 10R. However, the CE 2 Lite will take a lot longer to charge with its 33W SuperVOOC power brick (which comes in the box, at least).

Therefore, the new Nord variant targets a lower tier compared to the new, up-to-150W 10R. On the other hand, this allows it to reprise the microSD card support and 3.5mm jack that is all but exclusive to the lower-mid Android segment as this point. Despite this, however, the Nord CE 2 Lite still gets OnePlus' latest version of Android 12, OxygenOS 12.1, out of the box.

Finally, the Nord CE 2 Lite is 5G, thanks to its Snapdragon 695 SoC. It will be available to order from April 30, 2022 in 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 8/128GB variants, priced at INR 19,999 (~US$261) and 21,999 (~$287) respectively, from the OEM's usual channels in India.
