OnePlus Ace: New mid-range smartphone debuts in China with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX chipset, ColorOS 12.1 and 150 W SUPERVOOC charging
OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus Ace, the Chinese variant of the upcoming OnePlus 10R. Incidentally, both devices share many details with the Realme GT Neo 3. Accordingly, the OnePlus Ace measures 163.3 x 75.5 x 8.2 mm and weighs approximately 186 g. As OnePlus' official marketing images show, the Ace is available in two colourways that roughly translate from Chinese to English as 'Open Black' and 'Back to Blue'.
At the heart of the OnePlus Ace lies the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX, a 5 nm chipset that is exclusive to OnePlus. Elsewhere, the OnePlus Ace has 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Moreover, OnePlus equips the Ace with a 6.7-inch OLED display that operates at 1080p in a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 950 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, the device has a 16 MP front-facing camera, a 50 MP primary sensor (Sony IMX766), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (Sony IMX355) and a 2 MP macro camera (GC02M1).
Meanwhile, a 4,500 mAh battery powers the OnePlus Ace, which it can recharge at up to 150 W. Currently, the OnePlus Ace start at CNY 2,499 (~US$) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the handset is available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for CNY 2,699 (~US$), while 12 GB of RAM variants start at CNY 2,999 with 256 GB of storage.
