The OnePlus Ace is currently thought to launch as the Chinese-market version of the upcoming 10R flagship smartphone variant. The brand is currently hyping it as a device that will also debut a new kind of "supercrystalline" material for thermal management. It is tipped to help the Ace's new Dimensity-series SoC maintain performance while gaming.

OnePlus is projected to launch a successor to the 9R smartphone soon; however, it is also believed to debut in China beforehand. However, the OPPO brand is thought to have adopted the name of Ace for this same smartphone in its first market instead.

The first-gen Ace is now being teased as an "industry-first" device, in that it will ship with a thermal management system based on "supercrystalline" graphite. It will apparently contribute to a new world record in total surface area found within a smartphone that is devoted to cooling.

It will apparently span 35,198.2mm², 4,129.8mm² of which is made up of the Ace's vapor chamber. Together, it is now rated to dissipate heat to the tune of 60% better than...something: OnePlus' new Weibo teaser leaves that last detail out.

In any case, this spec might be welcome during mobile gaming sessions using the Ace, as it is also now confirmed to debut with the Dimensity 8100-MAX, not to mention new and particularly extreme 150W charging. OnePlus is the first company to use this combination, to be unleashed tomorrow (April 21, 2022) in its home country.
