OnePlus Ace 2 Pro officially slated to launch as first smartphone with next-gen cooling system
OnePlus has arrived at the 2023 ChinaJoy tech expo to confirm the accuracy of predictions that it would launch its next higher-end smartphone as the Ace 2 Pro. Their vindication also went on to confirm that the device will also debut the brand's latest Tiangong cooling system.
It consists of 3 main state-of-the-art components, starting with "next-gen diamond conductive gel" and "superthermal graphite". They are backed to achieve thermal conductivity of up to 60% and 41% greater respectively than their "conventional" counterparts.
They will be joined in the Ace 2 Pro by a new "super large vapor chamber (VC)", which lives up to that description with a surface area of no less than 9140mm². It is rated to reduce temperatures by up to 12.8°C in a 6.5 watt (W) system, or up to 14.4°C when that power is cranked up to 8W, in testing compared to a last-gen, smaller VC.
Accordingly, OnePlus asserts that all 3 parts deliver "aerospace-grade" thermal management that confers "three-dimensional heat dissipation" on the Ace 2 Pro. Accordingly, the smartphone may not launch as a market-ready 11 Concept, yet may still be able to stay ahead of its competition with updated cooling for an SoC like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It will debut complete with its new Tiangong technology in August 2023.
