OnePlus announces the first-gen Nord Buds, an affordable set of TWS earbuds with Bluetooth 5.2
OnePlus has established its Nord series of mid-range Android smartphones; now, it has expanded it with its own pair of Buds for the first time. The accessories have a distinctly up-to-date look, with a flat bottom to its charging case that go with those of the stems on the buds themselves.
They are built around appreciable 12.4-inch dynamic drivers, tuned with Dolby Atmos in an effort to enhance the bass heard through these new TWS earphones. There is also a "Sound Master" equalizer within its HeyMelody management app.
The app is also rated to confer OnePlus Fast Pair for Android on the Nord Buds. They are also rated to stay on for 7 hours, or 23 more with the use of their new 480mAh battery case. The OEM also maintains its reputation for fast charging most of the things as it claims the same case can restore 5 hours of back-up Bud power in exchange for just 10 minutes connected to the wall.
Then again, the Nord Buds are rated for "AI Noise Reduction" during calls only, and support just 2 codecs (SBC and AAC). This may be why their normal price is set at INR 2,999 (US$39, or INR 200 (~$2.60) cheaper as an introductory offer) from May 10, 2022.
