Kwumsy Power Hub PH1 with 65 W GaN charger and 4K HDMI ports unveiled
The Kwumsy Power Hub PH1 is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The company bills the gadget as an all-in-one desktop charging and data transfer solution. You can connect up to six devices to the power hub simultaneously, charging four at once.
Included on the Power Hub PH1 are a 60 W USB-C port for 10 Gbps data transfer speeds and a 65 W USB-C port for fast-charging. Two USB-A ports provide data transfer at up to 480 Gbps and 18 W power. You can connect to a display, TV or projector via the HDMI port, which supports 4K at 30 Hz with mirror and extend modes. Plus, the gadget has a 100 MB Ethernet port.
An AC connector powers the hub, with gallium nitride (GaN) technology used for improved stability and efficiency while allowing the gadget to be compact. The PH1 measures 81 x 81 x 28 mm (~3.2 x 3.2 x 1.1-in) and weighs 194 g (~6.8 oz).
You can currently receive the Kwumsy Power Hub PH1 when you pledge HK$462 (~US$59) to the Kickstarter campaign; the device is expected to retail for US$99 in the future. It’s worth noting that the company only ships to certain countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Netherlands and Italy. The gadgets are available in two colors, green and black, and are expected to be delivered in September.
