iFMARS Magic Dock 140 W smart charging hub begins crowdfunding
The iFMARS Magic Dock 140 W 5-in-1 smart charger is crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The campaign has already passed its US$6,369 target with over 230 backers. You can use the charging hub to charge five devices simultaneously. The gadget supports PD 3.1 fast-charging via a 140 W USB-C port, fully charging a 2021 Macbook Pro 16-in in 90 minutes or by 50% in 30 minutes.
Two 20 W USB-C output ports can charge an iPhone to 50% in 30 minutes, plus you can charge your phone or earbuds via a 10 W wireless charging pad. The gadget also has an 18 W USB-A output port and 140 W USB and 140 W DC output ports. The Magic Dock uses a patented Smart Power Distribution Algorithm to optimize charging.
The gadget has a function button and an HD display, showing real-time information such as total power output and error notifications. An orbit light around the base of the Magic Dock can indicate the charging status or provide dynamic ambient lighting.
You can currently receive the iFMARS Magic Dock smart charger when you pledge HK$389 (~US$50) to the Kickstarter campaign. The gadget is expected to retail for HK$778 (~US$99) in the future and is available in three different colors. The company is shipping worldwide, with deliveries expected in December.
