Amazfit Band 7: New smartwatch resembling Xiaomi Smart Band 7 launches running Zepp OS with up to 28 days of battery life
Amazfit has finally introduced the Band 7, a smartwatch that looks remarkably like the Xiaomi Smart Band 7. For some reason, Amazfit skipped the Band 6, with the Band 5 having debuted in 2020. Regardless, the Amazfit Band 7 relies on ZeppOS, which provides access to an app store, plus Amazon Alexa functionality and a suite of health monitoring applications.
According to Amazfit, the Band 7 can monitor your blood oxygen and stress levels, plus your heart rate and sleep quality. Additionally, the device can provide abnormal heart rate, blood oxygen and stress alerts, as well as offering breathing exercises. Similarly, Amazfit pre-loads 120 sports modes and claims that the Band 7 is 5 ATM water resistant. Sadly, the 42 x 24 x 12 mm smartwatch does not feature a GPS module.
At the heart of the Amazfit Band 7 is a 232 mAh battery, which should deliver up to 12 days of battery life under heavy usage. Supposedly, this battery life estimate climbs to 18 days for regular use and 28 days if you leave it in battery saver mode. Separately, the smartwatch has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display that operates at 198 x 368 pixels with a 282 PPI. The Amazfit Band 7 is orderable now for US$49.99; Amazfit sells the smartwatch in other markets too.
