Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro headed to Europe as user shares images of an early global model
There are plenty of Xiaomi fans who will be happy to hear that the Chinese OEM appears to be on the brink of launching its Smart Band 7 Pro onto the European market. The eagle-eyed data-miner Kacper Skrzypek first shared part of an EU declaration of conformity that was for a smart band product from Xiaomi. The model number given on the sheet is M2141B1, which the tipster revealed in a separate image as the Europe model number for the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro. The China model number for the wearable is reportedly M2140B1.
If that wasn’t enough to get potential users excited about the prospect of the Smart Band 7 Pro arriving on their shores, a user on Reddit has shared a whole range of images of both the global variant of the wearable and its box. It seems the buyer was actually sold the global/European model of the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro by mistake and noticed it was different after struggling to pair it properly. It’s clear to see the M2141B1 model number in the device’s about menu, and both the display and the box feature the product name “Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro”, with the word “Smart” being used in Xiaomi’s global offerings, like the Xiaomi Smart Band 7.
The current prices for the non-Pro model are £54.99/€54.99 (US$64/US$55) and the price in China for the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is 399 yuan, which is roughly £50/€58/US$57. So, you can imagine the prices for the European and UK markets could be around €90/£80 (US$90/US$93) for the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro. It’s a hefty increase, but you would get a good-looking smartwatch that has built-in GPS, offers NFC support, has a larger battery and display than its non-Pro counterpart (235 mAh vs. 180 mAh; 1.64-in vs. 1.62-in), can be operated via voice command, and it has optional 24-hour blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring.
