GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini to arrive as a smaller, likely cheaper alternative to the Hero 11 Black
Details of the GoPro Hero 11 Black have leaked recently. While the upcoming action cam seems to be a light refresh of the Hero 10 Black, it appears GoPro has an entirely new product in the works—in the form of the GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini.
As revealed by Roland Quandt of Winfuture, GoPro is readying the Hero 11 Black Mini to debut alongside the Hero 11 Black. As its name implies, the Hero 11 Black Mini will be a smaller version of the bigger Hero 11 Black. While it retains the overall design of GoPro's recent cameras, it does away with both displays entirely. Instead, it's equipped with a mount and sports a Bluetooth button at its front, presumably for an operational smartphone connection.
From the leaked images, the Hero 11 Black Mini could have full accessory compatibility with the Hero 11 Black, Hero 10 Black, and Hero 9 Black. The smaller chassis appears to indicate a smaller battery, however, although GoPro buyers will be hoping it's equipped with the new 27 MP sensor touted for the Hero 11 Black. The Hero 11 Black Mini is expected to debut alongside the Hero 11 Black later this month, and can be expected to be quite a bit cheaper as well, considering the hardware compromises.
