Leaked Xiaomi 12T Pro and Redmi Pad render highlights a 200 MP camera for the Xiaomi 11T Pro's successor

Xiaomi has been tipped to unveil the Xiaomi 12T series later this month and the duo may be joined by the company's first Redmi-branded tablet, the Redmi Pad. While none of that has been confirmed, renders depicting Xiaomi 12T Pro alongside the Redmi Pad have surfaced nonetheless.

It's important to point out that the source of the leaked image is unconfirmed. It lacks the details of an official render, however. The image only shows off the rears of the two devices: the Xiaomi 12T Pro maintains Xiaomi's camera module design for this generation with a large main camera and two vertically stacked lenses just beneath. Inscribed on the module, however, is "200 MP", corroborating prior rumors. 

Going by previous reports, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be equipped with the 200 MP 1/1.22-inch ISOCELL HP1—the same sensor on the Moto X30 Pro and the upcoming Moto Edge 30 Ultra. That sensor doesn't dazzle quite as much as the 1-inch IMX989 on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra but still lays a claim to being one of the most premium CMOS sensors on the market.

Also pictured, of course, is the Redmi Pad. There's hardly much activity on the rear of any tablet but the Redmi Pad looks to sport an 8 MP main camera. Affordable tablets like the Realme Pad X and OPPO Pad Air also feature 8 MP rear cameras—no surprises here. As reported yesterday, the Redmi Pad is expected to be equipped with a Helio G99, although a MediaTek Kompanio chipset has also been mooted.
