IFA 2022 | Jabra Elite 5: Premium earbuds launch in two colours with Hybrid ANC and 6 mm drivers for US$149.99
Jabra has presented the Elite 5, a new pair of TWS earbuds that will slot into its existing Elite series lineup. Positioned US$30 more than the Elite 4 Active and US$30 less than the Elite 7 Active, the Elite 5 features a design that is closer to the Elite 3. Unsurprisingly, the Elite 5 borrows from elements of all Jabra's Elite series earbuds, including a reliance on 6 mm drivers. Additionally, the Elite 5 offers Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and six microphones, plus Hybrid ANC.
Moreover, Jabra promises up to seven hours of battery life for the Elite 5 between charges, or nine hours if you disable ANC. Incidentally, the bundled charging case supports wired and Qi wireless charging, although it should only need topping up after recharging the earbuds three times. Furthermore, the earbuds come with a two-year warranty and are IP55 rated against dust and water. Like other Jabra earbuds, the Elite 5 is compatible with Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and Qualcomm aptX, as well as the standard AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs.
As expected, Jabra has launched the Elite 5 in two colours. Called Gold Beige and Titanium Black, both come with colour-matching cases and other accessories, including a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Currently, the earbuds are orderable from third-party retailers for US$149.99, including Amazon. However, Jabra is running a limited launch offer until September 8 that reduces the earbuds to US$129.99 per pair. Supposedly, Jabra will keep the offer open for the first 100 customers who order directly or until the campaign's end date. Garmin adds that the offer also applies to a maximum of two Elite 5 units per person.
