The Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer has been revealed. The speaker system includes two 1.8-in full-range drivers and a 5.1-in subwoofer, generating up to 90 W power. The soundbar can sit on a table or be mounted to the wall, and the wireless subwoofer can be laid horizontally or vertically, helping to generate an immersive sound.
Many technologies have been used in the devices, such as True Sound and 3D Surround Sound, for a cinematic experience at home, with support for Dolby Digital. Adaptive Low Volume and Clear Voice technologies ensure sound is clear and detailed at lower volumes. Plus, you can choose from four different sound modes to optimize the sound based on your scenario: Standard, Stereo, Game and 3D Movie.
You can connect to the speakers via Bluetooth or using one of the ports on the device, including HDMI ARC, optical, and an analog stereo mini-input. There are buttons on the gadget and remote control to command the device. Alternatively, you can control the settings of the sound system on your smartphone using the Sound Bar Remote app.
Yamaha suggests that it has designed the device to suit various living spaces, ensuring the devices are relatively compact. The soundbar measures 23.6-in (~599 mm) wide and 2.5-in tall (~64 mm), making it 30% smaller than Yamaha’s standard soundbar, and the subwoofer stands at 6.3-in (~160 mm) wide and 13.3-in (~338 mm) tall. The Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer will retail for US$279.95 when it launches in October.
