Motorola has made the Moto Tab G62 official today (August 17, 2022) as the latest in its series of Android tablets for the Indian market. It is, as the OEM has hinted, a smaller version of the Moto Tab G70 - although this does mean it gets a "stunning" 2K (albeit LCD and apparently not more than 60Hz) display, Dolby Atmos "Quad Speaker" audio and 4GB of RAM.
Despite this, however, the Moto Tab G62 has somehow launched with the larger battery of the 2, at 7,700mAh in capacity, estimated to last up to 12 hours before it has to recharges at what Motorola calls a "rapid" 20W. It will spend that time running Android 12 using the Snapdragon 680 processor.
This platform lets Motorola offer the Tab G62 in Wi-Fi only and 4G/LTE SKUs with 64GB of internal storage and microSD card support. The former is priced at INR 15,999 (~US$201), whereas the latter is ~US$27 more at INR 17,999.
However, this top-end option will only be available to order from August 22, 2022, whereas the base Moto Tab G62 is available from now.
