Motorola has just made the vanilla variant of its Edge 30 Android flagship series official in April 2022 for the European market. Now, the OEM has announced that it will also become available in India shortly, asserting that it will be the thinnest 5G phone in that country on its launch via partners such as Flipkart.

Motorola has launched the Edge 30 Plus (or 30 Pro, or Edge X30, depending on where you find yourself) as its highest-end and most advanced Android smartphone of 2022 (thus far). However, for fans looking to spend less money, there is also the plain Edge 30.

It looks much like its top-end counterpart, albeit with a smaller FHD+ display and the Snapdragon 778G SoC in place of the much newer and more powerful 8 Gen 1 processor. Nevertheless, it still offers Android 12 out of the box and relatively fast charging (for Motorola, that is).

Edge-series fans in India may already hope that the 30's specs remain unchanged when it is unleashed on its market, particularly as its screen is 144Hz as well as AMOLED. This may indeed be the case, as Motorola is still touting it as "the world's thinnest 5G smartphone" (at 6.79mm, excluding its camera hump) in promoting its impending launch via Reliance Digital, Flipkart and some other prominent stores throughout India.

This event is now scheduled for May 12, 2022, at which point Motorola will presumably reveal final pricing for the new device.
