The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is expected to be unveiled later this month, and is tipped to make its way to consumer hands in June. Supposedly, the flagship chipset could make its debut on a smartphone from a rather unlikely OEM—Motorola.
According to word coming from China, Motorola could be the first OEM to launch a device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. Thankfully, there's an obvious candidate for that: the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. The upcoming flagship leaked months ago with the "Frontier 22" moniker, and is all but guaranteed to land with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra being the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus makes plenty of sense, as the company also beat every rival to the punch with the Motorola Edge X30 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 back in December. After Motorola, companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Sony are all expected to debut Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus-powered phones.
