Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus: Leak touts performance difference versus the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
Qualcomm is geared to refresh the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with the improved Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. This new chipset will debut in the coming months, and a new leak has now provided some insight into what to expect.
According to Yogesh Brar, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, internally coded as the SM8475 versus the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's SM8450, is expected to be commercially available in early June. Prior reports claimed the chipset would debut in May, so there's a chance Qualcomm launches the SoC in May, while the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus-powered phones arrive in June.
As for performance, the leaker reckons a 10% boost across the board versus the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. That will likely see it perform on par with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, a chipset already built on the same TSMC node the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus will feature. More importantly, though, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is said to be more stable than the SM8450, with better thermals and battery life as well.

Details here
Numbers on the SM8475 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+) are quite good. Expecting an overall 10% jump compared to 8 Gen 1. Thermals are good, chip is stable and battery life is slightly better compared to the out going model on test machines.
