Motorola Moto G82 5G: Official renders and more specifications leak of Snapdragon 695 and 120 Hz smartphone
Evan Blass has shared renders and details about the Moto G82 5G, Motorola's premier Moto G series smartphone for 2022. For context, the Moto G82 5G has leaked previously, most recently on TENAA's database. Although TENAA provided images of the Moto G82 5G, Blass has leaked marketing renders, embedded throughout the article. Unsurprisingly, the Moto G82 5G stays true to this year's Moto G design language, including the prominent camera housing and centred-punch hole camera.
Additionally, Blass has expanded on the specifications that TENAA's listing outlined last week. For example, Blass claims that the Moto G82 5G's 6.55-inch display will rely on a POLED panel, rather than an OLED one. Practically speaking, Motorola will have used a POLED panel over OLED to reduce costs. However, the 1080p panel will also offer a 120 Hz refresh rate, 24 Hz slower than the Edge 30's AMOLED display.
Moreover, Blass emphasises that the Moto G82 5G will feature a Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W fast charging and IP52 certification against dust and water. Furthermore, Blass asserts that Motorola will sell the Moto G82 5G in three memory configurations, starting with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. While Motorola will also offer the Moto G82 5G with 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM, all configurations will come with 128 GB of storage.
Purportedly, Motorola has equipped the Moto G82 5G with a 16 MP front-facing camera too, along with a 50 MP primary camera that supports OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro sensor. Unfortunately, Blass has not revealed when Motorola will announce the Moto G82 5G, nor in which markets or for how much.
