Motorola unveils the Moto G 5G (2022) in North America with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery for US$399
The Moto G 5G (2022) has arrived, albeit only the North American model. For context, Motorola's website confirms that this device is the Austin - NA, which leaked in March. In comparison, the European version of the Moto G 5G (2022) will actually be a re-branded Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) that Motorola unveiled today in the US.
Hence, this Moto G 5G (2022) does not support pen input. Also, Motorola equips the handset with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, plus a 5,000 mAh battery that it can recharge at 10 W. The Moto G 5G (2022) has 256 GB of expandable storage too, as well as 6 GB of RAM, and a 90 Hz IPS display that resolves at 1,600 x 720 pixels and measures 6.5-inches across.
Additionally, the Moto G 5G (2022) comes with a 50 MP primary camera that Motorola complements with a 13 MP front-facing camera wand dual 2 MP sensors for capturing depth of field and macro data. According to Motorola's website, it only plans to sell the handset in Moonlight Gray. While Motorola's website does not mention availability or pricing, The Verge reports that the Moto G 5G (2022) will be available from May 19 for US$399, US$100 cheaper than the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022).
