Moto G 5G (2022): Upcoming Motorola mid-range smartphone leaks again with stylus support
Last month, @OnLeaks and Nils Ahrensmeier revealed details about this year's Moto G 5G, likely to be marketed by Motorola as the Moto G 5G (2022). Initially, Ahrensmeier claimed that the Moto G 5G (2022) would launch with a MediaTek Dimensity SoC, 4 GB of RAM and a 720p display. Also, Ahremseier expected Motorola to restrict the release of the Moto G 5G (2022) to North America.
While he still expects the Moto G 5G (2022) to be a North American exclusive, he no longer believes that the handset has a 720p display or a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Instead, Ahrensmeier asserts that a Snapdragon 695 5G will power the Moto G 5G (2022). Moreover, the Moto G 5G (2022) is now rumoured to launch with an FHD+ display, plus 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM variants.
Ahrensmeier adds that the handset utilises a 50 MP primary camera too, thought to be the Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (S5KJN1SQ03). Like many Motorola smartphones, the Moto G 5G (2022) will also have an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (S5K4H7YX), a 2 MP depth camera (GC02M1B) and a 16 MP front-facing camera (OV16A1Q). As Ahrensmeier's leaked image shows, the Moto G 5G (2022) will feature a stylus as well.
As far as we can tell, the Moto G 5G (2022) will be the North American equivalent to the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022). Potentially, the latter could be a European edition, but both should arrive in Black and Seafoam Green colourways with Android 12. Unfortunately, it remains unknown when Motorola will announce either Moto G 5G (2022) or the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022).
