Motorola Edge 30 Lite specifications leak with a 120 Hz display, a Snapdragon 695 SoC and more for compact mid-range smartphone
Motorola has already released the Edge 30 Pro, or the Edge+ (2022) in North America. However, it is yet to bring any other Edge 30 series devices to market, such as successors to the Edge 20, Edge 20 Fusion or the Edge 20 Lite. While Yogesh Brar leaked Edge 30 specifications earlier this week, the leaker has now outlined what we should expect from the Edge 30 Lite.
As far as we can tell, Brar has built on a leak published last week by Evan Blass on 91mobiles. Allegedly, the Edge 30 Lite will rely on the Snapdragon 695, a 5G platform that we have already reviewed in the Realme 9 Pro. A fast mid-range SoC, the Snapdragon 695 has an Adreno 619 GPU, eight CPU cores and is built on a 6 nm manufacturing process.
Like the Realme 9 Pro, the Edge 30 Lite will be available with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage. In comparison, Motorola will also offer the Edge 30 Lite with 256 GB of storage, although Brar does not mention if this will be expandable via a microSD card. Moreover, the Edge 30 Lite is reputed to arrive with a 4,020 mAh battery, 30 W charging, a 3.5 mm jack, and Android 12.
Also, the Edge 30 Lite could come with a 64 MP primary camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 32 MP front-facing camera. By contrast, the Edge 20 Lite has 108 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP depth and 32 MP front-facing cameras. Finally, the Edge 30 Lite is believed to feature a 6.28-inch POLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which would make it a smaller alternative to many Android smartphones.
