Motorola's latest announcement is a rare one, as it is for a tablet rather than a phone. The new Moto Tab G20 is an 8-inch slate with an HD+ resolution and a budget-grade MediaTek processor. Nevertheless, its specs do not match those of another rumored tablet from the same brand.

Motorola has unexpected launched a new tablet via Flipkart, which is unusual as it has been several years since the OEM has abandoned this market. However, it seems it is back with this Moto Tab G20. On the other hand, the device is not a completely new device.

In fact, with its MediaTek Helio P22T processor, 8-inch HD+ LCD display and 5,100mAh battery with 10W charging, it is pretty apparent that it is a rebranded Lenovo Tab M8 that ships with Android 11. On the other hand, this version does have a new rear panel with Motorola and Dolby Atmos branding.

This casing seems to be available in just 1 Platinum Gray shade. The Tab M8 has 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM options, and the Moto Tab G8 gets the latter, with 32GB of expandable storage. All in all, this new Motorola tablet seems not to be the one projected to launch in October 2021, as that Moto Tab 8 is said to be a Tab M8 FHD re-boot instead.

Motorola will start selling the actual Tab G20 for INR 10,999 (~US$148) on October 2, 2021.
