Teclast T50: Budget Android 11 tablet revealed with 4G connectivity and a large 2K display
Teclast has unveiled a new tablet, the T50. Supposedly a flagship, the Teclast has a Unisoc Tiger T618 SoC complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The tablet also has a microSD card reader should you need more storage and a SIM card slot that supports 4G connectivity. Teclast has equipped the tablet with a USB Type-C port too, along with four speakers and a small reset button.
Arguably, the highlight of the Teclast T50 is its display, which the company frequently refers to in its marketing materials. Teclast states that the T50 has an 11-inch panel running at 2,000 x 1,200 pixels, albeit one that maxes out at 350 nits. Regardless, the 11-inch display sits within a 7.5 mm thick chassis and has relatively slim bezels.
The tablet has a 'CNC unibody' and 'machined aluminium' body, partly explaining why it weighs 510 g. Another reason is its 7,500 mAh battery that the T50 can recharge at up to 18 W. The tablet has two cameras too: a 20 MP rear-facing one and an 8 MP selfie camera.
The Teclast T50 will be available to order from October 19 on AliExpress. The tablet will launch for US$179.99, although it is unclear if this price will remain after Teclast's 24 hour sale period. Teclast has not confirmed if the T50 will receive any software updates beyond Android 11, either.
