Motorola has made what can be called the highest-end variant of the Moto E series official recently. The device has the line's first ever 90Hz display, driven by a processor from Unisoc rated for a performance of up to 38% greater compared to that of the Moto E20.
We have found that the Tiger T700 SoC is close to the MediaTek Helio G80 and ahead of other processors such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 on one part of our chipset assessment regimen, although it came in just ahead of silicon such as the HiSilicon Kirin 710 overall.
Accordingly, the E40 is now touted as a class-leading smartphone - for its segment of the market by price, that is. Now, Motorola and Flipkart are finally ready to reveal which price-range it falls into.
The two companies had previously revealed that it will be available in a single SKU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (with a microSD card slot) - set at just INR 9,499 (~US$126). Orders for the 4G/LTE-only phone will go live from October 17, 2021.
