Asus could soon launch an affordable Windows 11 Vivobook tablet with 13.3-inch OLED screen
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 might not be too budget-friendly for some, so affordable alternatives are now starting to pop up. According to TabletMonkeys, Asus is ready to announce a Windows 11 Vivobook T3300K tablet that starts at ~US$700.
In order to keep the costs as low as possible, Asus is including a modest Intel Pentium Silver N6000 processor that can be coupled with 4 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB PCie 3.0 NVMe SSD storage. However, there is also a more premium 13.3-inch OLED display with FHD resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 400 nit max brightness and digital pen support.
Besides the modest processor, another small downside is the 800 g (1.5 lbs) weight that almost matches that of an ultrabook. At least the Vivobook T3300K justifies this by integrating all sorts of useful features like Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2, 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a microSD card reader, 13 MP rear camera + 5 MP front camera and a 50 Wh battery. Apparently, the digital pen as well as a detachable keyboard will only be available separately.
This model is already included in the product database of a couple of Swiss retailers. If the information provided by TabletMonkeys is accurate, the Vivobook T3300K could be announced in the next few weeks, with availability expected for December.
