The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Natural Wind 1.5 hp has launched in China. The device’s wind deflector offers a wide airflow range, opening up to 106 mm (~4.2-in) wide, and you can adjust its angle from 0 to 180°. This allows for an air circulation rate of up to 700 m³ (~24,720 ft³) per hour. The natural feeling comes from the upward-directed cooled air and downward-directed warm air supplies, gently altering the temperature of the whole room.
Plus, Xiaomi claims that the cooling can start to take effect in as little as 30 seconds, with heating taking around 60 seconds to kick in. Not only can you use the device to control the room temperature, but you can also adjust the humidity. The Mijia air conditioner can run quietly at 18 dBA so as not to disturb you, and the gadget is self-cleaning with anti-bacterial properties alongside filter change reminders.
You can control the smart gadget with Xiao AI voice commands or the Mijia app and link it to other IoT devices in your home. According to Xiaomi, the air conditioning unit is suited for rooms from 16 to 20 m² (~172 to 215 ft²) in size. You can currently buy the Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Natural Wind 1.5 hp for the discounted price of 2,799 yuan (~US$408). The device is available in a gray brushed metal and is expected to retail for 2,999 yuan (~US$437) in the future.
