Xiaomi Mijia Smart Curtain Motor 1S launches with voice commands
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Curtain Motor 1S has been launched in China. The smart home gadget enables you to control your drapes in many ways. For example, you can use Xiao AI voice commands, the Mijia app, the accompanying remote control, or a gentle tug to start the motor.
With support for the Mijia smart home system, you can add the product to your network and link the curtain motor with other devices. For example, you can command the curtains using the Xiaomi Smart Home Screen 10. You can control a range of curtain settings, such as a specific opening position or the time the curtains should close. Plus, you can set the curtains to wake you, opening slowly for 35 minutes before your desired rising time.
The device uses a DC motor, which enables the curtains to move quietly. The Smart Curtain Motor 1S can be used with the curtain fabric of your choice, supporting up to 50 kg (~110 lbs) of weight. A built-in wifi module allows you to control the curtains while away from home, which could be helpful when on holiday. The product measures 53.5 x 260 mm (~2.1 x 10.2-in), moving the curtains at 12 cm per second.
You can pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Curtain Motor 1S in China with a 50 yuan (~US$7) deposit. Pre-sale customers can purchase the device for 699 yuan (~US102); in the future, the smart home gadget will retail for 799 yuan (~US$117).
