Realme Buds Air 3S debut as new affordable-grade TWS earbuds with a new design, Dolby Atmos and up to 30 hours of battery life
Realme claims to have done its best to bring a mix of new and heretofore flagship-only features to its new 10 Pro and Pro+ smartphones today (November 17, 2022). However, whether it has done the same with their TWS earbud counterparts, the Buds Air 3S, or not may be up to the individual consumer.
The new wireless earphones will not exactly set their market alight with their core specs or features: 11mm drivers; IPX5-level splash resistance, a 69ms latency rating; SBC/AAC codec support and compatibility with an equalizer in the Realme Link app.
Then again, these properties combine in a build that, while still cloned from an AirPod, stand out more with markedly short and stubby stems as a surface for touch controls and extra ear-fins that might allow a user to wear them longer in more comfort/.
Furthermore, Realme has upgraded these new Buds Air all the way to Bluetooth 5.3 with Dolby Atmos. They also have noise cancellation; well, technically, it is categorized as ENC with AI-enhanced sound-filtration for their mics.
Realme has priced these new accessories, which come in "Titanium" white and "Carbon" black options, at just 199 yuan (~US$28), with the potential for an even better deal during the current 10 Pro introductory event on its Chinese webstore. The OEM has yet to mention global availability for any of the 3 products involved, however.
