The Realme 10 Pro+ has launched with the same color options (and 16MP selfie camera) as its new Pro counterpart; however, one will not be mistaken for the other thanks to the higher-end Plus model's new curved display.
This 120Hz FHD+ punchhole screen is made of OLED and measures 6.7 inches diagonally - like that of the 9 Pro+. However, Realme asserts that it is optimized even beyond its "golden" curvature with "PWM dimming" set at an apparently class-topping 2160Hz.
The "high-frequency" spec is touted to protect a 10 Pro+ user's eye health and not much else - it might prove fun to test in any case. Realme also claims to have shaved the smartphone's bezels down as much as possible in the 9 Pro+ successor's newly curved display, to yield a screen-to-body ratio of 93.65% and a 'chin' of 2.33 millimeters (mm) in height: less than that of a Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The display is driven by the "high-performance" MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC - another Realme first - which runs the long-awaited upgrade to Android 13. The 10 Pro+ has its line's new signature camera hump, and, like the 10 Pro, has a 108MP main sensor in the top 'ring'.
However, it crams 2 lenses (an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2MP macro) into the bottom circle, where the Pro has just 1 (2MP). The 10 Pro and Pro+ also have the same battery capacity - however, the latter upgrades to a 67-watt (W) standard, cryptically dubbed "Smart Flash Charge" for the first time rather than Realme's habitual Dart Charge branding (UFCS?).
Realme has also thrown in a new power brick for this new standard in with every 10 Pro+ shipped. On that note, it has a 8GB RAM/128GB base model now priced at 1,699 yuan (~US$237) on its new pre-order page. Alternatively, there are 256GB storage SKUs with 8 or 12GB of RAM for 1,999 to 2,399 yuan (~US$279-335).
