Realme has now confirmed the impending arrival of the Realme 10 series. Taking to Weibo, the company has outlined that the series will debut during a dedicated hardware launch event, which it has scheduled to start at 14:00 CST (06:00 UTC) on November 17. With the company including a fairly non-descript smartphone in its teaser image, @UniverseIce claims to have revealed numerous Realme 10 Ultra specifications.
According to the leaker, the Realme 10 Ultra will utilise the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm's next-generation flagship smartphone chipset. By contrast, the Realme 10 Pro is rumoured to rely on the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, an SoC that also features in the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Presumably, Realme will complement the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with plenty of RAM, storage and a large battery too.
Additionally, @UniverseIce alleges that the Realme 10 Ultra will launch with PWM display dimming that operates at 2,160 Hz. Theoretically, this frequency should be high enough not to trouble people who suffer from PWM-related eye strain and headaches. Separately, the leaker claims that the Realme 10 Ultra will feature a 200 MP primary camera, albeit without providing any details about the sensor used. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Realme will release the 10 Ultra outside China, too.
