Realme has announced that its official custom UI based on Android 13 will make its global debut alongside the upcoming 10 series for the international market. The brand has outlined some of its UX-, performance- and privacy-related upgrades ahead of its launch. They include new always-on display modes, in-game battery life improvements and automatic personal info-redacting functions.

The 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ became Realme's first smartphones to launch with Android 13 out of the box in China. Now, Madhav Sheth has indicated that this new, fourth-gen UI will also come with the international version of each device.

In keeping with its new name, the brand's president of international business has announced that the upcoming global update to Realme UI will focus on 4 critical areas: "design, interaction, fluidity, & security". The first of these will result in the OS upgrading to divide into "cards" throughout its system and UI, which may improve its organization by information types.

"Interaction" is also touted to become "fun" within the global version of Realme UI 4.0, with the addition of "smart" always-on display modes that may allow for the support of media controls in full color on the screen all the time.

In covering the remaining 2 "areas", Realme has joined in on some new Android 13-related features also seen in its system brands OnePlus and OPPO. They include the Dynamic Computing Engine that also debuted in OxygenOS 13, backed to refine performance on an international 10 Pro or Pro+ by up to 10%, and battery life while a gaming app is in use by up to 4.7%.

On that note, Realme fans may also welcome the port of ColorOS 13's Private Safe and Auto Pixelate to Realme UI 4.0. The new major OS upgrade should be unveiled in full on December 8, 2022.
