Rumor | Realme GT Neo 5 240W version will launch with Android 13 and 16GB of RAM
Realme has already previewed the upcoming GT Neo 5 as the smartphone that will introduce 240W SuperVOOC charging to the world. Now, the device is believed to come with alternative SKUs with the last-gen 150W standard, thus following the pattern of its Neo 3 predecessor.
This tip is potentially corroborated by TENAA listings for 2 new 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display Realme devices (the RMX3706 and RMX3708) that are identical - except for their typical battery capacities (with 4,850mAh for the former and 4,450mAh for the latter).
Then again, it seems the GT Neo 5 150W and 240W even have different colorways and camera humps for their 50+8+2MP rear shooters.
TENAA may also have revealed that one can order up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage to go with their new top-end charging tech, a leak also now possibly backed up on Geekbench.
The "RMX3708" has arrived on this benchmark with Android 13, powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC identified by its specs and code-name (taro).
It also does indeed have 16GB of RAM, all of which have propelled the "Neo 5 240W" to single- and multi-core scores of just under 1300 and 4000 respectively several time over on Geekbench to date (apart form 1 odd triple-figure outlier).
Therefore, it seems the GT Neo 5 may be in line for yet more speed-themed trailers that work on a number of levels on its February 2023 debut.
